Hello, my name is Sam!
I’m a fiery ‘passionate’ red head with a love for all things vintage. I have a rescue pup named Flynn who loves to join me and my partner Adam on woodland adventures and barking at black birds (he is doing exactly that as I write this paragraph). I’m a crazy house plant lady, I love chinese food, camping, dancing to Abba, essential oil bubble baths and drinking coffee with friends, putting the world to rights.
I have over 10 years experience making and altering wedding dresses and costumes. I love nothing more than that moment when you see someone beaming with joy because you’ve helped them to achieve exactly what they desired. From a young age I knew I wanted to work with clothes and started out as a retail assistant before training on the job at bridal boutiques and finding my love for sewing! After needing a large surgical procedure I took a short break from sewing, but swiftly found this wasn’t the path for me and decided to take charge of my own destiny and start my own business, Nimble Thimbles.
3 years later and I'm doing a job I love, meeting lovely new people and helping them to feel confident and beautiful in clothes that fit them perfectly!
